As much as I may pine for one last beach day, it's time to face it: vacation is over. While I am so glad to be back on campus for my senior (gulp) year, I will admit I could do with a few more days' rest! Thankfully, I don't have any early morning classes, so I can actually take some time to slap on a bit of face for class. While I don't recommend smokey eyes or a super bold lip for a Philosophy seminar, I do find that taking the few minutes in the morning to make myself look presentable helps set the tone for the day: I am noticeably more productive on days when I put effort into my appearance than on days when I roll out of bed in pjs.
For those days when I want a bit of makeup, I start off with my Simple Undereye Roller and my Bare Minerals Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener to help brighten and tighten the under eye area. At school, this is one of my problem areas, so I like to take the time to get them in tip top shape. After that, I'll smooth on some of my Philosophy The Supernatural or my Origins Vitazing (not pictured) as a light tinted base that has some coverage, but nothing serious. If I have any blemishes, or if my under eye bags are making me look like Ricky Raccoon, I'll dab on some of my handy dandy Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light. To take away some of the shine, I like to use my Colorscience Powder in Translucent, which is very similar to my Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, but with a higher SPF.
In general, I'm an 'eyes' person, and I find that defining them even a little bit makes the biggest difference. I'll usually sweep one color all over the lid, like my Laura Mericer Eye Shadow in Temptation, and then line my eyes with one of my Urban Decay 24/7 Liners. To finish off the eyes, I'll sweep on a coat of my Loreal Voluminous Original Mascara. For cheeks, I don't like anything to bright or shimmery for class. I find its just a bit much. You know what I mean? My go-to this fall will be my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed, because its a gorgeous nude shade without any glitter. For lips, I'll honestly just grab whatever happens to be in my school bag, but usually I can find a Revlon Lip Butter! This one is in the shade Berry Smoothie, and is a perfect natural berry shade for fall.
Whew! That sounds like a lot for class, but it honestly goes by in a jiff. What do you like to wear day to day?
